God made man in his own image, and they we went and screwed up royally by eating the fruit and becoming far less than perfect. If you're that person that's always like I would never have eaten the fruit. Adam and Eve ruined it for all of us, then you've probably never heard of hindsight bias. All of us would have eaten the fruit. But, if God knew we were going to mess up, then why would he ever make us? God knows everything. He knew we'd mess up, that we would be imperfect, that he would have to sacrifice his son, so why didn't he just save himself the mess and not create us? We are basically running around as animals, satisfying needs as they come up, and usually not thinking about consequences to us or others.
So, again, why did God make us? Easy answer, he loves us. He loves us so insanely much that he gave his own son for slaughter for a flawed human race. He calls us his children, he loves us as if we were his biological children. He is the perfect parent. Small problem #1 is that is is really hard for us to imagine this love because we never can experience it from another human on earth. No one can ever love you as much as God. No matter the person, they will, at times, want more, want something else, wish something was different. God never would change us, ever. He loves us just as we are, no matter what we do, no matter what we say, and I forget this. I forget this because it seems too good to be true, right? How could anyone ever love me like that? It seems here that everywhere I turn there is someone that want more from me, parents, friends, superiors. So sometimes I limit God in my mind and maybe thing, why would God be any different? He is perfect and I am so, so, so far from perfect. He deserves a better child than me. God loves me so much it feels fake. But it's true. He says it over and over again in his word through poems, parables, stories, people, all throughout the Bible that he loves us. That is the moral of the story. God is Love, Jesus is God, so Jesus is Love too. If we accept Love, God's perfect love, than we gain the gift of eternal life from probably the smallest thing we could ever have done. All we have to do is accept this gift. No strings attached. It almost is too easy, and Christianity is the only religion like this. The only one where we, tiny finite humans, don't have to rely on ourselves to get us to heaven. Mormonism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and every other religion says we have to be something other than ourselves in order to succeed. If you have lived even your most perfect day--you did and said everything right-- I guarantee you still messed up. You still saw your lease favorite person walk by and thought badly of them, and boom, Hell, Fire, Eternally. Once we understand we cannot do this, we realize that God's love is even bigger than we originally thought. It's not just this unconditional, amazingly pure love, but it is way undeserved. We anti-deserve it. But God gives it to us anyway. All we can do is drown in this love, he has so much of it. The best part is probably that it never runs out. Even the most loving of parents has their wit's end where they just cannot take anymore. That doesn't happen with God. Try not to forget how much God loves you next time you see something that makes you want to lose it. Remember how much God loves you, and how much God loves that one person in front of you. ✌️ out, Sydney Follow my blog with Bloglovin
